Information we process

Visiting this website can generate technical records such as IP address, requested page, browser information and access time through our hosting services. If you email us, we receive your email address and the content you send.

Within enabled account features, VenueBand processes account details, password hashes, memberships, calendars, booking and lineup records, conversations, songs, sets and charts that users provide. Payment records are separate from payment processing. Optional payee details and hosted file uploads are subject to additional access and activation controls; real sensitive data collection is not open in this pilot.

How information is used

We use information to operate accounts and workspaces, display authorized gig and music information, respond to support requests, maintain security and diagnose problems. Providing a phone number, joining a band or following an artist does not by itself authorize promotional messages.

Sharing and service providers

Workspace information is available according to membership and specific permissions. A shared set order does not make a musician's private chart public. Ordinary members and substitutes see their own agreed pay, not other musicians' pay or management totals. Information explicitly shared or downloaded by another authorized person may remain in their copies.

Hosting and support providers process information needed to operate the service. The pilot uses Render for application hosting and its database. Microsoft 365 handles our contact mailbox. SendGrid email and Twilio SMS integrations are being prepared and are not currently enabled for real-user delivery. External services you choose to open, including YouTube and linked music stores, have their own privacy practices.

We do not sell personal information. Mobile phone information and SMS opt-in data or consent will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Providers supporting message delivery may process the information necessary to perform that service; this does not permit their own marketing use. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to investigate abuse and protect the service.

Cookies and device storage

VenueBand uses essential session and security cookies. The public product pages do not include advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts. Downloaded stage material and saved practice settings use device storage when you choose those features. Clear downloads before handing a device to someone else. Offline copies cannot be erased remotely while the device is disconnected.

Retention, security and your choices

We use access controls and transport encryption, but no service can guarantee absolute security. Records may need to be retained for support, security, accounting or legal obligations; backups may retain earlier copies. Automated account closure and a complete retention schedule are still being developed.

Email lee@venueband.app to request access, correction or deletion, or to raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity and explain any records that must be retained. Do not send passwords, tax identifiers or private charts with your initial request.

Age, location and updates

The private pilot is intended for adults 18 and older. It is not directed to children. Contact us if you believe a child has supplied personal information. VenueBand is operated in the United States, and providers may process information in other locations. Applicable privacy rights depend on your location. We will date updates to this policy and provide additional notice where required.
